  • The concept of wine from a technical perspective
  • Components of wine (alcohol, acidity, tannins, sugar)

  • How to read wine labels

     2. How is wine made?

  • Winemaking processes (white, red, and sparkling wines)
  • Influence of climate, soil, and winemaking decisions
  • The concept of terroir

     3. Why and how do we taste wine?

  • Step-by-step tasting technique (visual, nose, palate)
  • How to identify aromas and flavors
  • How to structure a wine description
  • Introduction to assessing wine quality

     4. Major grape varieties of the world

  • Key grape varieties (Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, among others)
  • Aromatic profiles and styles
  • How to recognize them in the glass

    5. Basic Concepts of food pairing

Can I attend if I don’t drink much wine?

Yes. The focus is educational. You can taste without needing to consume the wine.

 

What if I cannot attend one session?

We recommend attending all sessions to get the most out of the course. However, we understand that unexpected situations arise, so it may be possible to reschedule a session in future courses.
